Aster, a fall feast for bees

What a difference a field of Aster right next to a hive can make in October. While my other hives are healthy with a good stores of honey, the hive located in this field is packed to the brim with honey. I walked out into the field on a brisk fall day the aspen was alive with pollinators. Bumble bees, Honey bees, and wasps were all frantically trying to get the last drop of nectar out of the flowers. If you click on the photos you can find a bumble and honey bee.
